Storylines to Watch

  • Adjustments Browns made in the bye week — The Browns are coming out of their Week 10 bye, taking time to evaluate where they can improve on all three sides of the ball. Head coach Kevin Stefanski shared with the team heading into Week 11 specific areas of focus and goals pertaining to the offense, defense and special teams. As they heading into the final eight games of the season, their matchup against the Saints will be the first test to see those adjustments on all three sides of the ball and how they affect the outcome of the game.
  • How the Browns pressure QB Derek Carr — In their Week 10 win over the Falcons, QB Derek Carr was efficient and explosive in the pass game. He completed 16 of 25 passes for 269 passing yards and two touchdowns. He did not throw an interception and had a 126.9 passer rating. The Browns pass rush will have a tough task in pressuring Carr and limiting those explosive plays. This season, Carr has a 91.8 passer rating under pressure, which is sixth in NFL, throwing four touchdowns and two interceptions. He has thrown 18 passes of 20+ yards and six passes of 40+ yards this season, with his longest completion for 70 yards.
  • How the Browns limit RB Alvin Kamara — Saints RB Alvin Kamara ranks seventh among rushers in the league with 715 total rushing yards on 167 carries this season. He's averaging 4.3 yards per carry and has scored six rushing touchdowns. Yet, Kamara is also a threat as a pass catcher out of the backfield, as he has recorded 421 receiving yards on 51 receptions and scored one receiving touchdown this season. In Week 10 against the Falcons, Kamara became the Saints' all-time leading rusher with 6,544 rushing yards. He is also the franchise all-time leader in rushing touchdowns (60), total touchdowns (85), total yards from scrimmage (11,184) and all-purpose yardage (11,842). The Browns defense will have to stop Kamara from moving the chains, as he is ranked first in the league in first downs with 55.
