Browns record vs. Ravens
- The Ravens hold the all-time regular season record against the Browns 36-15.
- The Browns are 6-19 against the Ravens on the road.
- The Browns beat the Ravens earlier this season in Week 8 at home, claiming a 29-24 win.
Storylines to Watch
- How the Browns defense limits QB Lamar Jackson — The Browns defense will see dual threat QB Lamar Jackson for the second time this season and work to limit his success in the pass game and the use of his legs. This season, Jackson has completed 300 of 442 passing attempts for 3,955 yards and 39 touchdowns. He's thrown just four interceptions this season and been sacked 23 times. Jackson also has rushed for 852 yards on 120 carries and four touchdowns. When the Browns faced the Ravens in Week 8, the defense held Jackson to 23 of 38 passing attempts for 289 yards and two touchdowns, as well as eight carries for 46 yards. They applied ample pressure, forcing him to make decisions and sacked him three times for a loss of 26 yards. If the Browns pass rush is able to apply pressure to Jackson, and keep him from extending plays with his feet, the Browns could limit the success of the Ravens offense.
- Move the ball downfield through the air — The Browns have an opportunity to move the ball downfield through the air, as the Ravens defense gives up the second-most passing yards per game in the league at 248.5. In Week 8, the Browns did just that, as QB Jameis Winston threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns. The Browns had four pass catchers with over 50 yards, with WR Cedric Tillman leading the group with 99 receiving yards on seven receptions. In QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson's first two starts this season, he has completed 44 of 81 passing attempts for 327 yards. He's also thrown three interceptions. However, Thompson-Robinson could look to move the ball downfield through the air to set up the Browns in position to score.
- Stop RB Derrick Henry in the run game — The Ravens have one of the top running backs in the league in Derrick Henry, who has a total of 1,783 rushing yards this season — second in the league. He's totaled 305 carries and scored 14 touchdowns this season. Henry has 20 explosive run plays this season, breaking through for 20 or more yards on a carry, with his longest run this season for 87 yards. The Browns run defense will need to contain Henry and stop him from finding a gap in the defense to break through and run down the field. This season, the Browns are allowing an average of 124.1 rushing yards per game, ranked 19th in the league. There will be an importance of tackling at all three levels of the defense to limit explosive runs and contain Henry.
