Storylines to Watch
- How the Browns apply pressure QB Bo Nix — Over the course of his rookie season, QB Bo Nix has settled into head coach Sean Payton's offensive system and developed a groove. Since Week 4, Nix has averaged 236 passing yards per game, leading the Broncos to a 7-5 record. The Broncos are also currently riding a two-game win streak after beating the Falcons in Week 11 and the Raiders in Week 12. The Browns pass rush will need to pressure Nix, yet be prepared for Nix to scramble as he succeeds in scrambling off-schedule. This season, Nix has completed 259 of 399 passing attempts for 2,548 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. He's also been sacked 19 times this season.
- How the Browns receiving corps matches up with CB Patrick Surtain II — The Broncos secondary is led by CB Pat Surtain II, who has recorded three interceptions for 128 yards, one interception returned for a touchdown, eight passes defensed, 27 tackles and one tackle for loss. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Surtain's skillset stands out as the "prototype" for a corner — size, strength, speed, quickness, athleticism and ball skills. Stefanski added that the Broncos secondary as a whole has talented players that can produce, tackle and make plays on the ball.
- How the Browns cover the Broncos receivers— The Browns secondary will also have a tough matchup in the passing game with WR Courtland Sutton — who has 57 receptions for 744 receiving yards and five touchdowns this season — and WR Marvin Mims Jr. — who has 16 receptions for 162 receiving yards and one touchdown. Stefanski said the size of the Broncos receiving corps stands out, as they have a big and physical group. Stefanski added that the Broncos can use Mims in a number of different ways, either in the backfield, out wide and as a returner.
