Browns record vs. Ravens

Storylines to Watch
- Who starts at quarterback for the Browns — The Browns are dealing with some change at the quarterback position, as QB Deshaun Watson was placed on injured reserve after sustaining an Achilles injury that will require surgery and end his 2024 season. QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson is also dealing with a finger injury that the Browns are gathering more information on. The Browns will work through their starting quarterback situation throughout the week, with Jameis Winston also in the conversation. They also added depth to their quarterback room when they signed QB Bailey Zappe off the Chiefs' practice squad to the active roster.
- How the Browns defense limits QB Lamar Jackson — The Browns defense will have its hands full against the Ravens and dual threat QB Lamar Jackson. This season, Jackson has completed 135 of 198 passing attempts for 1,810 passing yards — ranked fifth in the league — and 15 touchdowns — ranked second in the league. Jackson has also rushed for 455 yards and two touchdowns on 73 carries this season. The Browns pass rush and run defense will have to account for Jackson's dual-threat abilities.
- How the Browns execute the passing game — Even as the Browns work through the quarterback situation, they have an opportunity to find success offensively against the Ravens in the pass game. This season, the Ravens have given up a total of 2,159 passing yards — the worst in the league. Teams average 8.1 yards per passing attempt against the Ravens, and Baltimore has allowed 14 passing touchdowns. On the flip side, the Browns have struggled to create consistency in the passing game, with a total of 1,313 passing yards this season and six passing touchdowns. If the Browns can establish the pass game early against the Ravens, they could find success in moving the ball downfield and putting points on the board.
