LB Winston Reid has officially signed his exclusive rights free agent tender.
Reid entered the 2025 offseason as an exclusive rights free agent, and the Browns tendered him on March 4 before free agency officially began on March 12.
He joined the Browns as an undrafted free agent in May 2024 and appeared in 16 games with three starts. During his rookie season, he carved out a role for himself. In Week 12 against the Steelers, Reid dove on a loose football – forced out by DE Myles Garrett – for his first career fumble recovery. Just moments earlier, Reid was in at fullback to help RB Nick Chubb power through the goal line for the Browns' first touchdown of the game.
He ended the 2024 season with a total of 15 tackles, half of a sack, two passes defensed and one fumble recovery. The Weber State product also added eight special teams tackles and saw action on offense as a blocker in short yardage situations.
Reid returns to a linebacker room to bolster the unit that features Jordan Hicks, Devin Bush, Jerome Baker, Mohamoud Diabateand Nathaniel Watson. They also await the return of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who sustained a neck injury during the 2024 season and continues to progress in his recovery.
