The Browns are bringing back a piece of their linebacker room, as they have agreed to terms with LB Devin Bush on a one-year deal.

Bush first signed with Cleveland as an unrestricted free agent in 2024 and established a role for himself during the 2024 season. He started 10 of his 16 games last season and totaled 74 tackles and one sack. He has appeared in 81 career games with 61 starts and recorded 396 tackles five sacks, five fumble recoveries, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Linebackers coach Jason Tarver highlighted Bush during the 2024 season, praising him for how he learned and adapted to the Browns defensive system – a type of scheme he hadn't played in before he joined the Browns. Tarver specifically pointed out the way Bush tackled, how he operated on the edges and how he got off blocks.

"We're really proud of Devin as he has given himself to the system," Tarver said on Dec. 27. "That isn't always the easiest thing to get into a new place, third team, new system, and then just be like, 'All right, I got you, coach'."

With a year under his belt under Tarver's coaching and in the Browns defensive system, Bush has an opportunity to build on the progress he made during the 2024 season.

Originally drafted as the 10th overall pick in the 2019 draft by the Steelers, Bush spent his first four seasons in the NFL in Pittsburgh. Bush had his best season in his rookie year, when he recorded 109 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four passes defensed and two interceptions. He finished third in NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.

In his second season, Bush suffered a torn ACL which ended his season after just five games. However, he returned for the 2021 season and finished his four years in Pittsburgh with 268 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits, four sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and a touchdown.

He then signed with the Seahawks for the 2023 season, where he played in 13 games and recorded 37 tackles and five tackles for loss.

The Browns brought back LB Devin Bush, who started 10 of his 16 games for Cleveland during the 2024 season.
