TE Blake Whiteheart has officially signed his tendered contract.
Whiteheart entered the offseason as an exclusive rights free agent, and the Browns tendered him on March 4 before free agency officially began on March 12.
Whiteheart appeared in 11 games with two starts in 2024. He registered six receptions for 51 yards and one touchdown. The Wake Forest product has appeared in 13 career games after initially signing with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2023.
He adds depth to the tight end room that is led by David Njoku, who had the second-most receptions for the Browns in 2024 with 64 for 505 receiving yards and five touchdowns over 11 games. The unit also has Brenden Bates, who the Browns signed towards the end of the 2024 season and played two games for Cleveland.
