The Browns announced the game status for a handful of players ahead of their Week 9 matchup against the Chargers.
CB Denzel Ward and OLB Khaleke Hudson are questionable for Sunday's game.
Ward continues to work through the concussion protocol after sustaining a head injury in Week 8 against the Ravens. While Ward did not participate in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, he returned to practice on Friday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Saturday would be the last hurdle for him to pass through before they make a decision on status for Week 9.
"Great to see Denzel out there," Stefanski said. "He's been engaged in the meetings and the walk throughs, those type of things, so he's doing a nice job staying on top of everything."
Hudson is dealing with an ankle injury that he sustained in practice on Thursday.
LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and LB Jordan Hicks are out for Week 9.
Owusu-Koramoah, who sustained a neck injury in Week 8 against the Ravens, did not practice throughout the week. Stefanski announced on Wednesday heading into the week that Owusu-Koramoah would miss Week 9 as he continues to recover from the neck injury.
Stefanski said Owusu-Koramoah has been around the building this week.
"He's doing better," Stefanski said. "Obviously, continues to talk to the doctors and work through the rehab and all those types of things, but he's doing better."
Hicks continues to deal with elbow and triceps injuries, and did not practice throughout the week. Stefanski said Hicks' injuries are day to day. Hicks has played in a total of five games this season, with five starts. He last played in Week 7 against the Bengals and was inactive in Week 8 against the Ravens.
