Browns sign WR Kadarius Toney and WR Michael Woods II

The Cleveland Browns have signed WR Kadarius Toney and WR Michael Woods II to the active roster from the practice squad and placed DT Maurice Hurst II (ankle) and T Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) on injured reserve. The team has also elevated DT T.Y. McGill and WR James Proche II from the practice squad. In addition, CB Myles Harden has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game.

Toney (6-0, 193) is in his fourth NFL season out of Florida. Originally a first-round pick by the Giants in 2021, Toney has appeared in 34 career games, including two with the Browns this season. He has recorded 82 career receptions for 760 yards with three touchdowns, while adding 23 rushes for 115 yards and a score. Toney will wear No. 87.

Woods (6-1, 204) is in his third NFL season out of Oklahoma. A sixth-round pick by the Browns in 2022, Woods has appeared in 11 career games and recorded eight receptions for 88 yards. Woods will wear No. 81.

Hurst appeared in eight games with two starts this season. He recorded 16 tackles and half of a sack.

Wills appeared in five games with four starts at left tackle this season.

Proche (5-11, 193) is in his fifth season in the NFL out of SMU. Originally a sixth-round pick by Baltimore in 2020, he has appeared in 57 career games, including 14 with the Browns over the past two seasons. He has registered 26 career receptions for 281 yards. Proche will wear No. 11.

McGill (6-0, 295) is in his 10th NFL season out of North Carolina State. Originally signed by Seattle as an undrafted free agent in 2015, McGill has appeared in 58 career games with the Colts (2015-16), Browns (2017), Chargers (2018 and 2019), Eagles (2018 and 2020), Vikings (2021) and 49ers (2022-24). He has recorded 46 career tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. He appeared in one game with the 49ers this season. McGill will wear No. 63.
