The Cleveland Browns have signed LB Jason Neill and OL Cory Tucker. To make room on the roster, the team waived OL Conor Boffeli and LB Jackson Jeffcoat.
Neill is a 6-2, 266-pound rookie out of Texas-San Antonio. Originally signed by Dallas as an undrafted free agent on May 6, he was waived on May 24. Neill set a UTSA record with 14 career sacks. A native of Flower Mound, Texas, he graduated from Marcus High School.
Tucker is 6-4, 315-pound rookie out of Slippery Rock. Originally signed by Green Bay as an undrafted free agent on May 9, he was waived on June 1. Tucker started 48 career games at Slippery Rock and helped the team finish the 2015 season with the highest scoring offense in the country (45.2 points per game). A native of South Park, Pa., he graduated from South Park High School.
Boffeli spent the final two weeks of the 2015 season on the Browns' practice squad. Jeffcoat was claimed by the Browns via waivers on April 15, 2016.
