The Browns on Monday released veteran safety Morgan Burnett.
Burnett, an 11-year veteran, started eight games last year in his first season with the Browns. He totaled 41 tackles, two sacks, one interception and two passes defensed before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in Cleveland's Week 11 win over the Steelers.
For his career, Burnett has appeared in 121 games with 112 starts, making 770 tackles with 10 interceptions.
