Browns release OL Matt McCants

The Cleveland Browns have released OL Matt McCants from injured reserve. He was placed on the team's injured reserve list on Aug. 23 with an ankle injury.

McCants joined the Browns as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He's appeared in 30 career games with three starts. He sustained an ankle injury against the New York Giants during the team's second preseason game on Aug. 21.
