The Cleveland Browns have signed WR Jaelon Darden to the active roster from the practice squad and placed CB Tony Brown II (foot) on injured reserve. In addition, the club signed CB Kahlef Hailassie to the practice squad and released RB Gary Brightwell from the practice squad.
Darden (5-8, 175) is officially in his third NFL season out of North Texas. Originally selected by Tampa Bay in the fourth round in 2021, Darden has appeared in 28 career games, including seven with the Browns. He has registered 71 career punt returns for 703 yards (9.9 average) and 27 kickoffs for 565 yards (20.9 average). Darden will wear No. 16.
Brown appeared in six games this season and recorded five special teams tackles and one forced fumble on kickoff coverage.
Hailassie initially joined the Browns via waivers in 2023 and has appeared in 10 games with one start.
