The Cleveland Browns have signed RB Gary Brightwell and TE Blake Whiteheart to the active roster from the practice squad. The team has also elevated CB Tony Brown II and TE Geoff Swaim from the practice squad. In addition, the Browns have signed LB Nathaniel Watson to the practice squad.

Brightwell (6-1, 220) is in his fourth NFL season out of Arizona. Originally selected by the Giants in the sixth round in 2021, Brightwell has appeared in 37 career games. He has rushed for 164 yards on 41 attempts with one touchdown, while adding 11 receptions for 92 yards. He appeared in seven games last season with the Giants. Brightwell will wear No. 35.

Whiteheart (6-4, 250) is officially in his second NFL season out of Wake Forest. Originally signed by Arizona as an undrafted free agent in 2023, Whiteheart appeared in two games as a rookie. He will wear No. 86.

Brown (6-0, 200) is in his seventh NFL season out of Alabama. Originally signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2018, Brown has appeared in 61 career games with the Packers (2018-19), Bengals (2020-21) and Colts (2022-23). He has recorded 58 career tackles and one interception, while adding 17 career special teams tackles. Brown will wear No. 38.

Swaim (6-4, 260) is in his 10th NFL season out of Texas. Originally selected by Dallas in the seventh round in 2015, Swaim has appeared in 100 career games with 65 starts with the Cowboys (2015-18), Jaguars (2019), Titans (2020-22) and Cardinals (2023). He has recorded 110 career receptions for 846 yards and six touchdowns. Swaim will wear No. 84.
