The Cleveland Browns have claimed S Juston Burris via waivers from Oakland. In addition, the team placed TE David Njoku (wrist) on injured reserve.
Burris is 6-0, 212 pounds and in his fourth NFL season out of North Carolina State. Originally a fourth-round pick by the Jets in 2016, Burris has appeared in 38 career games. He has recorded 28 tackles, two interceptions, seven passes defensed and 11 special teams tackles. He initially joined the Browns prior to Week 10 last season and appeared in the final four games. He was inactive last week for the Raiders. Burris is a native of Raleigh, N.C.
Njoku appeared in both games this season and recorded four receptions for 37 yards and one touchdown. He left the game Monday in the first quarter after suffering a concussion and wrist injury.
