The Cleveland Browns have designated S Juan Thornhill for return to practice.

Thornhill appeared in the season opener and recorded nine tackles. He was placed on injured reserve with a calf injury on Sept. 11.

* A player designated for return has 21 days to be activated or must remain on the reserve list for the remainder of the season.
