Bay Village and Normandy met for week 7 of our High School Game of the Week.
Bay Village started off the game with a nice end around score by #10 Dillon Barry. Normandy soon took over but it didn't last long. Bay Village's #44 Paul Boutros picked off Normandy's #8 Ryan Dengler. Bay Village soon had two quick scores one by #22 Trey Psota and a Safety.
Bay entered the second quarter leading 15-0 and there was no stopping them. Bay Village went on to score four times with two of them coming from Psota. Bay Village entered the half leading Normandy 44-0.
At half time both bands put on a terrific show for the fans. Most bands may have a few members involved with a dance break, but both Normandy and Bay showed off an entire ensemble dance off.
The rest of the game was quieter with only one touchdown coming in the fourth quarter by Bay #26 Andrew Veverka.
Bay Village defeated Normandy 51-0. Psota was chosen as this weeks Most Valuable Player. Psota finished the game with three touchdowns and helped boost the rockets to victory.
Of course no Friday night game is complete with out a First and Ten volunteer. We met Cheryl McCarty who runs the booster clubs and is in charge of making sure all of the funds generated at games goes back into the athletic program. Cheryl has been volunteering for Bay Village for 12 years now.
Congratulations to Bay High School on winning week 7 of High School Game of the Week!
