This out of conference matchup has a lot on the line for both teams. Perry looks to keep their undefeated season hopes alive while Chardon looks to get their first win of the season.
The Chardon Hilltoppers suffered a devastating loss last week to the West Geauga Wolverines. After taking a 19-0 lead to open the game it looked like the Hilltoppers were going to run away with the game, but the Wolverines rallied back to win 19-20. The Hilltoppers are now looking to put that game behind them and focus on their matchup this week against the Perry Pirates.
The Perry Pirates opened their season last week with a win against the Riverside Beavers with a final score of 28-14. The Pirates were able to get it done on the ground and through the air thanks to the efforts by their quarterback, Drew Schiano. Schiano accumulated 219 yards through the air with three passing touchdowns as well as 70 yards rushing to lead his team to a victory. Schiano looks to lead his team to another win this week as they face the Chardon Hilltoppers on the road at 7 p.m.
