Browns Host 3rd Annual Special Olympics Clinic

The Cleveland Browns, in collaboration with Special Olympics Ohio, hosted a Special Olympics Football Clinic! Over 400 athletes joined in for a day of inclusive fun and skill-building. Participants enhanced their skills in passing, catching, running, and defense. With hands-on instruction, fundamental skills stations, and non-contact games the event was filled with high energy, positivity, and excitement making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!

Elbert Hill IV was announced as the Cleveland Browns Nike Next One nominee.

During the Month of Giving Browns players Joel Bitonio, Rodney McLeod and Dustin Hopkins supported children in need while Denzel Ward was honored as the teams nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Other highlights include more Stay in the Game! initiatives and the honoring of the Jim Brown Inspire Change Changemaker award winner.

Pacheco will receive a grant toward college and will participate in special events during Super Bowl LIX Week in New Orleans.

Browns players Elijah Moore, Nyheim Hines, Joel Bitonio, Cedric Tillman, Jameis Winston and others volunteered their time to encourage cancer patients in Cleveland during the NFL's Crucial Catch initiative. Other highlights include Denzel Ward donating AEDs, a City Youth Summit and a Girls Flag Football Clinic!

The Browns hosted their third annual Halloween Fashion Show on Oct. 22, benefiting kids served by The Littlest Heroes and University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's in celebration of the NFL's Crucial Catch initiative.

"Make Them Know Your Name," a foundation started by Denzel Ward and his mother Nicole, announced a donation of 100 AED machines to local Cleveland small businesses.

The Latino Youth Honors, in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and Procter & Gamble, celebrates the next generation of Latino/Hispanic youth athletes that make an impact on and off the field. The finalist will be invited to the Latino Youth Honors celebration at Super Bowl LVIII and the top winner will receive a $25k scholarship, with the remaining finalists receiving a $5k scholarship each.

A girl's flag football defensive back from Mayfield Heights, Ohio, Fatima Sardo-Longo was selected as one of two students that will represent the Browns for the Latino Youth Honors Award. Sardo-Longo is a four-sport athlete and upon graduation will have collected eleven varsity letters. She is heavily involved in her community and volunteers as a coach for young student-athletes.

A tackle football player from Painesville, Ohio, Edson Pacheco is a key contributor on his high school football team, the baseball team and the marching band. He can also be found on the sidelines of soccer and basketball games, filming clips for the videography club.

The Browns Stay in The Game program was excited to welcome kids back to school with multiple takeovers.

Other highlights include the return of High School Game of the Week, Rookie Tackle Takeovers and Alumni Weekend festivities!

In support of Service Dog Awareness Month, Milk-Bone and Barking Backers contributed $6,250 to Canine Assistants last week at University Hospitals thanks to our Premium Barking Backer members! On March 21st, the Browns hosted 'A New Era Summit presented by Gatorade' for Girls High School Flag Football Athletes

The Browns invited 40 students from Euclid City Schools, a Stay in the Game! district, to CrossCountry Mortgage Campus to learn about the wide array of career paths available in sports from Browns front office staff members.

The CL3 Alliance hosted the 18th Conversations for Change, where over 100 officers and youth were invited to participate in conversations about Athletes & Law Enforcement Coming Together.

Browns offensive lineman Joel Bitonio partnered with Meijer to provide 40 kids from the City of Cleveland Recreation Centers with a Meijer shopping spree. Each kid was paired with one of Joel's teammates and was given a $150 gift card to shop.

Through his foundation Change Our Futures, Browns safety Rodney McLeod and Meijer provided 20 Northeast Ohio families with $500 each to spend during a shopping spree at Meijer. McLeod's Change Our Future is a youth development organization that seeks to remove barriers and labels placed on underserved communities by empowering people through education, advocacy and awareness.
