 Jim Brown began his legendary NFL career in 1957 by leading the league with 942 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, setting the tone for one of the best careers ever by an NFL player.

 Among intense racial segregation across the country, the Browns signed Bill Willis and Marion Motley, two players who demanded respect with their play on the field and built legendary careers in Cleveland

The Browns, named after their first head coach in Paul Brown, officially arrive in Cleveland and join the AAFC, starting the first of many memorable eras of football in Cleveland.
