Denzel Ward turned in a big performance in his regular season NFL debut.
Because of that, the Browns rookie cornerback was named one of five finalists for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week award Tuesday after recording two interceptions and three pass breakups in Sunday's 21-21 tie against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ward is up against Giants running back Saquon Barkley, Jets quarterback Sam Darnold, Vikings cornerback Mike Hughes and Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay
Ward, the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft, is expected to continue to play a key role on a Cleveland defense that forced six turnovers this past weekend.
The Browns play at New Orleans on Sunday.
