The Browns earned some hardware as they took home three awards from the 55th Central Great Lakes Emmy Awards ceremony over the weekend.

They won the trophy for Sports Program: Post Produced/Edited, for the 'Sideline to Sideline: Browns vs. Bears' episode, which premiered Dec. 20, 2023. This episode chronicled the fourth quarter comeback by the Browns to beat the Bears 20-17 during the 2023 season. It is the first Emmy Award the series has won.

They also took home the trophy for Societal Concerns, with their production of 'A new Era | The Girls Flag Football Story in Northeast Ohio.' Director of Content & Production Ricky Soinski, Production Manager of Content Operations Konner Sanghera, Producer of Digital Content Justin Fela, Justin Stine, Anthony Baucco and Andrew Davidson all played a role in creating the episode to capture the story of the growth of high school girls flag football.

The Cleveland Browns Girls High School Flag Football programming, presented by Gatorade and in association with Bridgestone, aims to provide access and opportunities for high school female student-athletes to compete in and experience the fastest growing sport, flag football. By providing resources and information to players, coaches and parents, the Browns are able to expand the knowledge of the game and provide opportunities through the Cleveland Browns, USA Football, NFL FLAG and the NFL.

The Browns implementation of Girls High School Flag Football began in 2021 alongside Northeast Ohio Flag Football, and since have created the first Girls High School Flag Football division in Ohio. Together they work to elevate girls flag football to promote equality in sports offered at the high school level. Ultimately, the Browns are focused on creating a pathway for Girls High School Flag Football to become a sanctioned varsity sport under the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA).

Browns Supervising Producer of Content Operations Lily Hammel also won an individual Emmy Award, earning Editor: Short-Form Content (Up to 15 Minutes). The award recognized a composite of a handful of pieces she has produced during 2023.
