A letter to Cleveland Browns fans in Northeast Ohio and beyond on our stadium process

As we've previously shared, we want to keep you updated as we work to deliver a new home for the Browns that reimagines the fan experience for games and other year-round events. Our hope is this stadium will reflect the world-class nature and aspirations of Northeast Ohio while simultaneously ensuring it serves as a catalyst for our region without requiring existing taxpayer revenues.

Our plans for the new, enclosed Huntington Bank Field in Brook Park check every box.

First, we've done extensive diligence and have concluded that a new enclosed stadium with an adjacent mixed-used development is the most viable long-term solution. The enclosed stadium will draw millions of visitors to the region throughout the year for premier large-scale events which will drive the fiscal and economic impact necessary to pay for the public portion of the funding model. Second, the location is of great importance. The new stadium will sit less than a mile from Cleveland city limits, and is easily accessible from two major highways, which is particularly important since 85% of our home game attendees live outside of the city limits. The new stadium will also:

  • Deliver the ultimate Browns fan experience with an innovative transparent roof, maximizing natural light to provide the feel of the outdoors while amplifying the sounds of gameday or a live concert, a seating bowl with the closest seats to the action for the most intimate feel of any NFL stadium, and an NFL first-of-its-kind "Fan Wall" to celebrate our team's most ardent fans and intimidate opponents.
  • Vastly improve the challenging ingress and egress and parking situation – a major goal in seeking a stadium solution.
  • Provide unique club, concourse experiences and a wide range of products not available at the current location.

In short, our region deserves a world-class project like this. We love Cleveland and Northeast Ohio and are committed to our community, our schools, our youth sports programs, our involvement in local healthcare, and our extensive impact programs. This project reinforces our dedication to Greater Cleveland and all of Northeast Ohio. HSG, together with its development partners, is prepared to invest more than $2 billion in private capital in the proposed new stadium and surrounding development.

We've made a promise to ensure our team remains the Cleveland Browns, and our Brook Park plans solidify that commitment. We will continue to update you on our progress. As always, thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Dave Jenkins
