6 local players heading to the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl

The first stop on the way to the 2025 NFL Draft is in Mobile, Ala. during the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl, which gives seniors and draft prospects a chance to showcase their talent and connect with coaches, scouts and front office members.

The Browns will be represented on the sideline during the Senior Bowl – set for Feb. 1 – as assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone will be the head coach for the American team and defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire will be the defensive coordinator for the National team.

As players from across the country travel to Alabama for the Senior Bowl, six players from collegiate programs in Ohio will also participate in the Senior Bowl. Let's take a look at those six players.

QB Will Howard, Ohio State

Coming off a National Championship title in which he led Ohio State to a 34-23 victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, QB Will Howard will have another opportunity to show his talent in front of NFL personnel. Howard finished the 2024 season completing 309 of 423 passing attempts for 4,010 yards and 35 touchdowns. He threw 10 interceptions and was sacked 14 times during his lone season at OSU. Howard also used his legs, as he had 105 carries for 226 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Howard is projected as a Day 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

TE Harold Fannin Jr., Bowling Green

In his three seasons at Bowling Green, TE Harold Fannin Jr. totaled 180 receptions for 2,396 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He also added nine carries for 65 rushing yards and one touchdown. During the 2024 season, Fannin led the MAC with his 117 receptions for 1,555 yards. Bowling Green ended its season with a 7-6 record and 6-2 in conference games, finishing fourth in the MAC and earning a trip to the Lending Tree Bowl. Fannin is projected as a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and could use the Senior Bowl as another opportunity in front of NFL personnel to showcase how he can impact an NFL offense.

DT Darius Alexander, Toledo

In his five seasons at Toledo, DT Darius Alexander played in 58 career games. He recorded 127 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, nine sacks, 13 passes defensed and one fumble recovery during his collegiate career. Alexander had his best collegiate season in 2024, with career highs in tackles and tackles for loss, and recorded one interception which he returned for 58 yards and a touchdown. He earned third-team All-MAC in 2023 and first-team in 2024. Toledo finished sixth in the MAC for the 2024 season with an 8-5 record and 4-4 record in conference games. Alexander is projected as a Day Three prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft.

S Maxen Hook, Toledo

S Maxen Hook spent five seasons with the Rockets, finishing his collegiate career with 356 tackles, eight tackles for loss and two sacks. He also recorded seven interceptions, 15 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Hook is projected as a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and could use the Senior Bowl, NFL Combine and interviews with NFL teams as another platform to help his draft stock.

S Lathan Ransom, Ohio State

S Lathan Ransom wrapped up his collegiate career at Ohio State with a title, and recorded 75 tackles, two passes defensed, one sack, three forced fumbles and one interception in his final season at OSU. Over his five-year career, Random totaled 227 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 13 passes defensed, 3.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and three interceptions. He also had two fumble recoveries and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. Ransom is projected as a fourth-round draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

DT Ty Hamilton, Ohio State

Over his five-year career at Ohio State, DT Ty Hamilton was a solid part of their defensive line rotation. He recorded 116 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and eight sacks in 57 games. He also totaled two passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Analysts describe Hamilton as a player who is solid in run defense and at the point of attack, and is projected as a Day 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
