The Browns drafted RB Quinshon Judkins from Ohio State with the 36th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Here are five things to know about Cleveland's newest playmaker.
Consistent producer in every college season
Judkins didn't need much time adjusting to college-level defenses when he joined Ole Miss after graduating from Pike Road High School in Alabama. Judkins was a 1,000-yard rusher in his first full season with the Rebels as a sophomore and broke 1,000 yards again as a junior, which made him one of the most productive running backs in a two-year span in SEC history. He also scored 16 and 15 rushing touchdowns, respectively, in that stretch before joining Ohio State, where he totaled 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns last season.
He compiled those numbers despite sharing a backfield with TreVeyon Henderson and receiving almost 80 less carries than each of his first two college seasons.
Make it SEVEN Buckeyes on the Browns
With Judkins, the Browns now have seven Ohio State players on their roster, a number that has steadily grown over the years since CB Denzel Wardwas the fourth overall pick in 2018.
Judkins joins Ward, LB Jerome Baker DT Mike Hall Jr., S Ronnie Hickman, OT Dawand Jones and C Luke Wypler as Buckeyes in Cleveland.

The next starting RB?
Judkins has a clear path toward grabbing a starting running back job as a rookie. There are only two other running backs currently on the roster in Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr., although he Browns could choose to add more rookies to the position during and after the draft.
Dane Brugler from The Athletic said Judkins is "an 'attitude' runner with the quickness, vision and violence to be a productive lead option in an NFL backfield." He was ranked fifth on his RB rankings for the draft class.
He can also catch passes
Judkins was not necessarily a dual-threat back, but he does have experience as a pass catcher and was often targeted on screen plays. He had 22 receptions in each of his final two college seasons, totaling 149 and 161 receiving yards, respectively, and catching five total receiving touchdowns in his whole career.
He grew up a skateboarder
Judkins was an avid skateboarder as a kid and credited his skateboard skills as a reason why he is a balanced runner with the football. He frequently went to skate parks where he grew up in Montgomery, Ala., and believed his dedication toward trying to master tricks on the board helped him develop a "never give up" attitude in football.
