Carson Walch is entering his eighth season in the NFL and his fourth with the Browns. He has been the team's director of player development since 2023.

Before joining Cleveland, Walch was the Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers coach (2019). He originally joined the Eagles coaching staff in 2018 as assistant wide receivers coach and was an offensive quality control coach/assistant wide receivers coach with the Chicago Bears from 2013-14.
During his first season with the Eagles, Walch worked with a unit that featured veteran wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor. Under Walch's direction, Jeffery recorded his highest receiving yardage (843) and reception totals (65) in a single season since 2014, despite missing the first three games of the regular season. He also received a Pro Bowl nod.
Agholor also recorded career highs in receptions (64) and yards after the catch (350).
Additionally, Walch helped direct WR Brandon Marshall and Jeffrey to Pro Bowl selections in 2013 while in Chicago.
Walch went to Philadelphia after two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League as offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach (2018) and receivers/passing game coordinator (2017). Under his guidance, the Eskimos offense ranked first in the CFL, led the league in every major category, and coached CFL MVP QB Mike Reilly.
He was also the quality control/wide receivers coach of the Montreal Alouettes from 2010-12 and the club won the Grey Cup in 2010.
Walch also possesses a wealth of NCAA coaching experience, spending time with the University of Minnesota, Winona State University, University of St. Thomas and Dakota State University.
Walch was an All-American, all-region and all-conference running back, receiver and return specialist for Winona State from 1996-99, while also serving as a team captain.
During his final season, he was named a regional finalist for the Harlon Hill Award, which the top player in NCAA Division II football earns.
He was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame and named to the program's All-Century Team for his performance during his four years at Winona State.
Walch has an undergraduate and master's degree in education from Winona State and is a native of Elgin, Minn. where he is also a member of the school's Hall of Fame.
