The Browns were able to secure a 17-14 Thursday night over the Broncos thanks to quality performances from several offensive backup players. QB Case Keenum passed for 199 yards with a touchdown to FB Johnny Stanton, who was filling in for starting FB Andy Janovich, while RB D'Ernest Johnson rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown in his first NFL start.

RB Nick Chubb is preparing to take the field for the Browns as he returns from a season-ending knee injury he sustained in Week 2 in 2023. Chubb has spent the past year recovering from two knee surgeries, working his way back. In his six seasons with the Browns, Chubb has totaled 1,238 carries for 6,511 rushing yards and 48 rushing touchdowns, as well as 123 receptions for 1,011 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

The first came on a 25-yard fumble return for a score against Las Vegas, while the second came when he returned a blocked field goal 50-yards for a touchdown against the Eagles — the Browns first blocked field goal returned for a touchdown since Leigh Bodden on Nov. 13, 2005. McLeod has also totaled 24 tackles, one fumble recovery and two passes defensed.
