The Cleveland Browns 'Hats Off to Our Heroes' program is a signature program that focuses on recognizing and honoring local heroes for their service during each home football game. Recently, during the Browns vs. Patriots match up, the United States Navy were seated in the Honor Row as an extension of the Browns commitment and dedication to supporting our military.
At the conclusion of the 1st quarter, Browns fans without cue stood off their seats and removed their hats to show their appreciation for those members of the US Navy and the many others who have served or currently serving our country. This special moment during the game is one that many fans look forward to and symbolically provides a moment to honor those who serve. Navy members seated in the honor row were recognized while their names scrolled on the scoreboard as part of the recognition piece.
MMWC (SS) Daniel C. Zabatta, of the US Navy, who was part of the Browns Signature Honor Row experience, expressed "the overall experience of being in Honor Row and game day was fantastic. All of the other honorees also really enjoyed the experience." MMWC (SS) Daniel Zabatta went on to say that the best part of the Honor Row experience was, "The fans response during the actual moment. Obviously we were taken care of great by the Browns leading up to the moment, but the fans response during it was very overwhelming, in a good way." MMWC (SS) Daniel Zabatta finished by saying that the rest of the honorees that stood with him and who were proudly recognized on game day agreed that "the Browns Honor Row moment was great and couldn't have been better!"
