BALTIMORE -- Many words were said at the podium and inside the Browns locker room after Thursday's 28-7 loss to the Ravens.

These were the most important.

"I've tried every different kind of speech, to no speech to whatever. I can't put my finger on it but obviously it's a problem, so we've got to fix it. -- Browns coach Hue Jackson on the team's second-half struggles.

"It motivates you to want to be better, it motivates you to keep working harder and not allow that to happen. If I'm there, I'm going to do everything I can and work as hard as I can, and if not, I'm going to be the best teammate in support of the guys. And for me it just continues to make me want to work harder and be that much better." -- QB Cody Kessler, on being removed from the game in the third quarter.

"You gotta go in there and play when you're asked to play and play well. And like I said, we had some bad breaks -- I'll have to look at the tape and evaluate it all -- but there were just things that didn't go our way. Obviously when you come in off the bench you want to help set a spark and that's my frustration that I wasn't able to do that." -- QB Josh McCown

"There's a lot of frustration but we've just got to go back to work. We're the only people who can change it. We know what we've got to do." -- WR Corey Coleman

"The way you build a role on any team is you're good on the opportunities you get. When my number is called, I go out there, I'm fresh and ready to go and run around and do whatever I can to help the team win." -- TE Seth DeValve, who caught his first career touchdown in the second quarter

"The mindset is you've got to stay positive and we're going to have to find a way to get a win here. We've got a few days off here before we come back and we've got Pittsburgh next. We need to refresh a little bit and refocus and see if we can get a win against Pittsburgh." -- OL Joe Thomas

"The man's a ball player. We got him for a reason. We got a good player from the Patriots. He plays hard." -- DL Emmanuel Ogbah on LB Jamie Collins Sr., who had nine tackles, a sack and two tackles for loss.

"That's one thing I can praise about my teammates. Through all of this adversity, and this is as tough of adversity I think a lot of people have been through in the game of football, the team's still staying together and fighting hard. I give credit to all my teammates. It says a lot about their character." -- LB Demario Davis

"They did their thing. At the end of the day, whenever we're on the field we still can't allow 28 points, no matter how it ends up working. We've got to make sure we keep them out of the end zone. Sometimes when the offense is struggling, we've got to pick them up. When we're struggling on defense, they do the same. It's a team thing." -- DB Joe Haden

"We needed to do everything we can to stop their momentum and make plays. The defense was playing their hearts out. They put us in a good position in the first half. It was a close game and in the third quarter we had to score on that first drive to try to re-establish momentum. It's something we have to continue to look at each week. We have to be able to play a 60-minute game … We haven't done that yet." -- OL John Greco
