Many words were said at the podium and inside the Browns locker room after Sunday's 35-10 loss to the Cowboys.
These were the most important.
"I feel bad about it all. I do because our fans, they are outstanding and I can't help but thank them for coming out and supporting a team that is not playing very well right now. I am being very honest. The Dawg Pound and our fans have been outstanding. We have to give them something to keep coming for, and I get that. We have to do that better, and we will." -- Browns coach Hue Jackson
"The way I was brought up was through adversity. Different things that happen in your life you can't control. This team, I think the best word I know is just relentless. These guys come back to work every day. No matter what the circumstances are, this is a great group of guys and I love playing with them and playing for this team and this city. It's tough. You want to win every game. When that doesn't happen, you have to look yourself in the mirror and say, 'Ok, let's go.' You have got to take it in. It's supposed to hurt. It's going to hurt because if it doesn't then you don't care. It's going to hurt, but you have to move on. You have to keep going." -- QB Cody Kessler
"You cannot look at the record or dwell on the losses, but it does get harder. But in the end, we are going to be able to move past that. And focus on doing what you can to try to get a win the next week." -- OL Joe Thomas
"When you are playing catch-up, it is tough and we had a lot of three-and-outs, had our defense on the field too much against a potent offense. Especially with a short week coming up, we have to do everything we can to stay on the field and keep moving the chains and keep our defense off the field." -- OL John Greco
"We feel that if we are on the field, then we have a job to do. As a competitor, you look at any circumstance and just do what you can do. That's why we play this game because we can feel that we can do that." -- DB Tramon Williams Sr.
"We have to stand up. We have to step up. It is us. There is nobody else that can do anything but the players on the field so we just have to play better. We have to make sure we make tackles. We have to keep the ball in front of us. We are just not playing very well right now at all so we have to step it up." -- DB Joe Haden
"I wouldn't say that they beat us down. They had our card on some things, along with some missed assignments and missed tackles. We just didn't execute. Obviously, we took the loss, but we just have to look at the film and be ready for Baltimore." -- LB Christian Kirksey
"We just have to keep going. That's a good football team. That's probably the best team we've played from the offensive side of the ball. What makes that team so good, whenever you catch the ball, they have 11 people running at you. They have a great defense. It's not like they have any great players, but they play well together, and they are all in." -- WR Terrelle Pryor Sr.
We will bounce back. One thing about this group, and I think you guys still see it, they are not giving up. I want you guys to know that they are fighting and they are playing their tails off as hard as they can. We just are not doing it as well as I think we can. It is not effort related at all. Our guys will come in here tomorrow, we will move on from this and we have to get ready for Baltimore." -- Jackson
