Olmsted Falls comes into this week's game after a thrilling, first round playoff win against Midview. The Bulldogs edged out the Middies 31-28. Senior RB, and Olmsted Falls' all-time career rushing leader, Spencer Linville carried the ball 35 times for 229 yards with two touchdowns. Linville's performance helped the Bulldogs finish with 429 total yards with 377 of them on the ground. Westlake is also coming off a nail-biting victory last week. The Demons rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Holland Springfield 48-41 in overtime for Westlake's second post-season win in school history. Senior QB Trey Bialowas led the Demons rally with 400 yards passing and four touchdowns, as well as two rushing touchdowns.
We have a rematch on our hands! In week 2 of the regular season these teams met with the result being Westlake edging out Olmsted Falls 34-31. Last week both teams proved that they have the heart and tenacity to fight until the very end, and with it being such a close game between them earlier this season, expect a classic for their rematch. Can Westlake get two wins against the Bulldogs this season, or will Olmsted Falls redeem themselves and keep their season alive?
Good luck to both teams and stay tuned for a post-game report.
