The NFL Network is running a compelling segment called Inside the Draft Room, and the Cleveland Browns were featured earlier this week.
Former longtime NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah accompanied esteemed broadcaster Charles Davis in projecting which players make most sense for the Browns to draft.
At pick No.12, Jeremiah has his mind made up and nothing will change it: Louisville wide receiver DeVante Parker is the best player available and fits one of Cleveland's needs as a playmaker on the outside.
"He's a home run pick – if he's there you have to turn in the card," argues Jeremiah.
At No.19, Davis and Jeremiah projected Iowa offensive lineman Brandon Scherff – who could play both right guard or right tackle. But many other mock drafts have Scherff long gone by then.
"If they make this pick they might have one of the best offensive lines in the league," said Jeremiah.
Jeremiah believes the Browns will address the quarterback position in the third round with Garrett Grayson from Colorado State. We wrote about Grayson’s pro day and many believe with the proper time to develop, he could turn into a starter.

Round 1- Pick 12 - DT Danny Shelton The Browns could go Parker here if they want that big-three wide receiver, but I think with Shelton on the board, the defensive-minded Browns get their Haloti Ngata to solidify the interior of the defensive line.

Round 1- Pick 19 - OLB Randy Gregory The Browns stick on the defensive side of the ball and get the best pass rusher left on the board. He has incredible burst but will fall on draft day because of size concerns. Gregory would immediately upgrade the pass rush after solidifying the defensive line at 12. If the Browns do this, look for a wide receiver in the second round and some interior offensive line plus a tight end in rounds 3 or 4.
