Mock Draft Roundup: Did the Senior Bowl change projections for Browns?

Is a week of analyzing prospects at the Senior Bowl enough to change public perception about the Browns' plans at No. 1 and No. 4 in the 2018 NFL Draft?

Our second installment of Mock Draft Roundup explores projections from a slew of draft gurus who are taking their first or second stabs at what Cleveland and the rest of the NFL will do 85 days from now.

  1. QB Sam Darnold (USC)
  1. DB Minkah Fitzpatrick (Alabama)

Of note: Though he doesn't tab the Giants to take a quarterback at No. 2, Brooks projects six quarterbacks to go in the first round, starting with Darnold at No. 1 and ending with Louisville's Lamar Jackson at No. 29 to the Jaguars.

  1. Darnold
  1. RB Saquon Barkley (Penn State)

Of note: Zierlein believes Barkley would be a "culture changer in Cleveland. If Barkley lands with the Browns in this spot, it'd mark the third straight year a running back goes in the top four.

  1. Darnold
  1. Fitzpatrick

Of note: In his top 50 player rankings, Jeremiah puts Fitzpatrick as his fifth-best overall prospect and says he's at his best "when allowed to float and keep his eyes on the quarterback."

  1. Barkley
  1. Fitzpatrick

Of note: Cherepinsky made significant changes to his mock draft from earlier this month, but he still sees the Browns not taking a quarterback with either of their first-round picks. He projects three to go in the top six, though.

  1. Barkley
  1. Darnold

Of note: Campbell flips the script on popular projection for the Browns. He expects UCLA's Josh Rosen to be the first signal-caller off the board at No. 2.

  1. Fitzpatrick

Of note: White believes Fitzpatrick projects as a free safety in the NFL but will get his shot to play at cornerback, much like former top-five pick Jalen Ramsey of the Jaguars.

  1. QB Josh Rosen (UCLA)
  1. Barkley

Of note: Marino calls Rosen, who started from the moment he arrived at UCLA, is the best passer in this year's class.

  1. Fitzpatrick

Of note: Fischer initially pegged Barkley to the Browns at No. 1 but now has Cleveland taking the first of three quarterbacks in the top 10. He also expects the Broncos at No. 5 (Baker Mayfield) and Jets at No. 6 (Rosen) to go with quarterbacks.
