Browns safety Jabrill Peppers and defensive end Chad Thomas are set to make their training camp debut.
Cleveland activated the pair of defenders Monday ahead of the team's fifth day of camp, giving the Browns two young, promising players back in the fold.
Peppers (groin) was placed on the non-football injury/illness (NFI) list while Thomas (hernia) was designated as a physically unable to perform (PUP) player.
Peppers, the 25th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, enters his second season following a rookie year of highs and lows. He's expected to play a key role on an overhauled defensive secondary that added free safety Damarious Randall and several cornerbacks, including rookie and fourth-overall pick Denzel Ward.
Thomas, a third-round pick this past spring, enters his first season out of Miami. He emerged as a dominant run defender for the Hurricanes, posting 12.5 tackles-for-loss and 5.5 sacks last year.
