HSGOTW #5: Ashland defeats Maple Heights (37-20) 

Ashland was last week's High School Game of the Week winner 

Ashland kicked off the fifth week of their season with a 37-20 victory over Maple Heights, continuing their season undefeated. Meanwhile, Maple Heights will look to bounce back as they prepare to face their next challenger, Warrensville Heights.

With an impressive win, Wadsworth Head Coach Scott Valentine was selected as the Cleveland Browns High School Coach of the Week!

Quarterback, Nathan Bernhard (#10) emerged as the MVP for Ashland, displaying outstanding offensive skills with an impressive 4 quarters. His performance was highlighted by:

  • 3 Rushing Touchdowns
  • 1 Passing Touchdown
  • 260 Passing Yards

Bernhard's contributions as quarterback were instrumental in securing Ashland's big win, helping to shut down Maple Heights offensively and sealing the victory.
