Holy Name hosts undefeated Bay in the Cleveland Browns High School Game of the Week, presented by PNC Bank
Holy Name vs. Bay
Records: Holy Name 1-2; Bay 3-0
What: Nonconference game
Date of Game: Friday, Sep. 18
Kickoff: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Serpentini Stadium, 6579 Royalton Road, North Royalton, OH 44133
Pregame Notes:
Bay (3-0) is led by Coach Ron Rutt – 2014 Cleveland Browns High School coach of the year – who seems to have his team firing on all cylinders, handling their last three opponents by a combined score of 137-30. Holy Name (1-2) has Dan Wondolowski at the helm; the second year coach looks to have the Green Wave rebound after a one-sided 28-0 loss courtesy of the defending division IV State Champion Benedictine Bengals.
Be on the lookout for the Rockets' running back Nick Best who is coming off of a 304 yard and 3 touchdown performance in their last game. The Rockets will rely heavily on the run as it has been their bread and butter early throughout the season.
The Green Wave also have a running back who will be looking to make his impact on the game early and often; the Toledo commit, Shakif Seymour, has made quite a name for himself during his tenure at Holy Name. Look for the Green Wave to try to control the clock against an explosive Rockets offense.
Can the Rockets soar high enough to escape the Green Wave's reach? Find out tonight under the lights at Serpentini Stadium!
Good luck to both teams and stay tuned for a post-game report.
