Browns wide receiver Derrick Willies has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Willies, an undrafted rookie who emerged as an unlikely hero in last week's overtime win over the Ravens, suffered a fractured collarbone during Friday's practice. He'll be re-evaluated next week.
Though the first three catches of his NFL career came against the Ravens, Willies has been a valuable member of Cleveland's special teams units since the start of the season. Fellow rookie Damion Ratley and veteran Rod Streater are expected to help fill the void as the Browns take on the Chargers without Willies and the team's second-leading receiver, Rashard Higgins (knee).
