One guy is an NFL starting quarterback. The other personified grit on special teams and as a wideout for the Philadelphia Eagles... kind of... sort of).
Regardless of football status, Baker Mayfield and Mark Wahlberg met at F45 Training in Sherman Oaks, California, this week for a workout.
A few highlights from the day:
Form is everything on your dips. You want that 90 degrees with the elbows. Take notes.
A+ form from QB1. A little too much leg assistance on the pull up end from Wahlberg but we'll allow it. If you're that fit at 48 years old, you get that kind of pass.
If the DMX to Papa Roach music transition didn't catch you off guard here, you're lying.
Herb Brooks famously said, "The legs feed the wolf."
I'll follow that up with, "The feet get you to the house."
FirstEnergy Stadium hosted a different kind of futbol this past week as the U.S. Men's National Team took on Trinidad & Tobago in CONCACAF Gold Cup action. Browns kicker Greg Joseph hung out with a few members of the team after their practice at the training facility in Berea.
Call it a few extra pointers from Joesph, call it the Cleveland difference or call it flat out domination: The stars and stripes rolled to a 6-0 win, their largest Gold Cup win in team history.
This year's rookie class is enjoying their final week of bonding before heading off to summer break.
They started out their activities by shooting some hoops with local kids at the Lonnie Burten Rec Center.
What better way to wrap up rookie activities than with a trip to Cedar Point on a b-e-a-UTIFUL day in Sandusky?
With the Major League Baseball All-Star Game making its way to Cleveland in less than two weeks, Browns safety Damarious Randall showed some local pride by campaigning for Indians first baseman Carlos Santana to become a starter for the game.
Finally, be sure to watch this week's episode of Building the Browns, featuring all activity from minicamp.
As if you needed more of a reason to watch, here's a teaser:
