The Cleveland Browns on Wednesday signed DB De'Ante (pronounced dee-AHN-tay) Saunders to the active roster from the practice squad. In addition, the team placed TE Rob Housler on injured reserve (hamstring).
Saunders is 5-9, 187-pounds and in his rookie season out of Tennessee State. He signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent in May and spent the first eight weeks of the season on the club's practice squad. Saunders' full bio can be found on page 241 of the 2015 Cleveland Browns media guide.
Saunders will wear No. 40.
Housler caught one pass for six yards in six games this season, before sustaining a hamstring injury in the second quarter against Denver on Oct. 18.
