The Cleveland Browns re-signed LB Tank Carder, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent. In addition, the team signed DL Jamie Meder and RB Raheem Mostert as exclusive rights free agents.
Carder joined the Browns via waivers prior to the start of the 2012 season after being selected by Buffalo in the fifth round of the draft that year. He has appeared in 62 games with two starts. A stalwart on special teams, Carder has registered 34 career special-teams tackles, blocked a punt for a safety and was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week in 2014. He has added 18 tackles and one pass defensed on defense. Carder appeared in all 16 games last season and recorded 10 special-teams tackles and six defensive stops.
Meder appeared in all 16 games as a reserve in 2015 and totaled 33 tackles and one sack.
As an undrafted rookie, Mostert appeared in 11 games (seven with Baltimore, three with Cleveland and one with Miami). He logged 19 kickoff returns for 530 yards with a 27.9 average.
