CLEVELAND — Browns starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor left Thursday night's game against the Jets with a concussion.
Taylor sustained the injury with 3:01 to play in the second quarter after being sacked on a 3rd-and-12. He was taken into the team's locker room shortly after and did not return.
Rookie Baker Mayfield will finish the game in Taylor's place. Mayfield, the first-overall pick in the NFL Draft, is making his regular-season NFL debut.
Taylor finished 4-of-14 for 19 yards in addition to four carries for 22 yards.
