A few days removed from the 2017 Draft, Cleveland's 10 newest rookies have their first NFL number.
The Browns on Wednesday finished up assigning numbers to their 10 draft picks. It's important to note these numbers are subject to change heading into the 2017 season.
Only defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (65) and kicker Zane Gonzalez (5) were able to maintain the number they wore during their final college season. DL Myles Garrett, DB Jabrill Peppers and DB Howard Wilson wore numbers in college that aren't permitted for their position groups in the NFL. Wilson is able to wear No. 35 because RB Darius Jackson recently switched to No. 33. QB DeShone Kizer is unable to wear the No. 14 he sported at Notre Dame because the Browns have retired it in honor of Hall of Fame QB Otto Graham.
Here's the rundown.
DL Myles Garrett - 95
DB Jabrill Peppers - 27
TE David Njoku - 85
QB DeShone Kizer - 7
DL Larry Ogunjobi - 65
DB Howard Wilson - 35
OL Rod Johnson - 78
DL Caleb Brantley - 99
K Zane Gonzalez - 5
RB Matthew Dayes - 37
