The Browns continue to honor Jim Donovan, "The Voice of the Cleveland Browns," who passed away on Oct. 26 after battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He was 68 years old.

On Sunday, as the Browns faced the Chargers in Week 9, their helmets donned a mic decal with the "JD" logo, in honor of Donovan's 25 seasons as the play-by-play announcer for the Browns.

Donovan was first named as the radio "Voice of the Cleveland Browns" in 1999, when the franchise returned from a three-year hiatus, and completed his 25th season in 2023. Over the course of his storied career, Donovan had signature calls that highlighted his career and are a part of Browns' history.

Following his passing during their Week 8 game against the Ravens on Oct. 27, the Browns honored Donovan with a tribute video during the game, playing a recording of his best calls over the years. They also honored him in the press box with photos and flowers.
