Browns DL Desmond Bryant ruled out for season, TE David Reeves signed

The Cleveland Browns have signed TE David Reeves and placed DL Desmond Bryant (pectoral) on reserve/non-football injury (NFI).  

By being placed on reserve NFI prior to the roster reduction to 53, Bryant will miss the entire season. He tore a pectoral muscle during a workout in early July and underwent surgery. A full recovery is expected. In 2015, he led the Browns with a career-high six sacks.

Reeves is a 6-4, 255-pound rookie out of Duke. Originally signed by Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent on May 1, he was waived on May 17. A four-year letterman at Duke, Reeves appeared in 53 games and totaled 47 receptions for 367 yards and seven touchdowns. A native of Greensboro, Ala. he graduated from Greensboro Public West High School.
