Through the First and Ten movement the Cleveland Browns have supported Providence House. This year, the Information and Technology department had the opportunity to support the organization by giving back and volunteering to beautify the property. Weeding, painting, planting and more; they did it all to make the home uniform and inviting for all it serves.
Name: Nick Deuch
Hometown: Brecksville, OH
How they give back:
Nick is a finance and accounting major at Miami University and is interning for a few weeks with the business analytics group. He volunteers at his church camp back home in the summers. He's a soccer coach who teaches the little ones in kindergarten - 6th grade about the fundamentals of the sport. It's at the church that he goes to so it's always a positive thing when he can help others and give back with his friends.

Hometown: Columbus, OH
How they give back:
Monica really enjoys volunteering with her department and being able to give back to the Cleveland community. She used to babysit a lot so she likes helping kids and causes that support them. She loves animals and looks to champion them and their well-being at walk fundraisers and local shelters. She jumps at any opportunity the Browns have to give back to others and has been known to sit on internal committees such as the Staff Food Drive supporting the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Hometown: Detroit, MI
How they give back:
Brad likes volunteering and helping because it doesn't take much. He's mowing today to keep the property looking nice. He says it makes it so much more worth it to come out with the people you work with on a daily basis. It's good team building and a way to get out of the office every once in a while. Volunteering together through First and Ten has become an annual thing with the IT department. He enjoys it because he can help people in need and it's good to give back because he's able to.
Name: Erica Mangino
Hometown: Brunswick, OH
How they give back:
Erica is a business data scientist for the Browns and she likes that her workplace provides volunteer days because it makes it so easy and fun to give back with people she works alongside every day. When asked by her department head to come out for community day she wanted to give a back in a way she hadn't before. She likes being outside and likes charities that help children and especially those with special needs. Her mom played a part in this as she worked at a daycare with a number of kids with disabilities. Erica is fascinated with nature so her task has been to plant perennials all around the property in the organization's century garden. She lives near Providence House so after today she's inspired to come back and volunteer on her own.

Hometown: Uhrichsville, OH
How they give back:
Seth tries to volunteer as much as he can, especially in the offseason. He volunteered 50 hours a year in college as an honors requirement. This was the start for him. It opened his eyes to all that he can contribute to those around him. The Browns opportunities are so awesome for him to make sure that he's doing his part and help those in the community he now calls home.
