BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns on Thursday agreed to terms with LB Chris Kirksey. General Manager Ray Farmer made the announcement.
The 6-2, 235-pound Kirksey was selected in the third round (71st overall), the first of the Browns' two third-round selections. He appeared in 49 games at Iowa, starting the final 38.
He registered 315 tackles, 5.5 sacks, four interceptions, seven fumble recoveries and five forced fumbles. Kirksey also returned two interceptions for touchdowns and one fumble for a score to become the third player in school history to total three defensive touchdowns.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., Kirksey graduated from Hazelwood East High School.
