Browns 2015 training camp features 11 free public practices, beginning July 30

BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns 2015 training camp, presented by Northeast Ohio Ford Dealers, will feature 11 free public practices at the team's facility in Berea, beginning Thursday, July 30, as well as free access to the team's Orange & Brown Scrimmage at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Friday, Aug. 7, the club announced Monday.

All practices at the team's Berea training facility are free to fans, who may register online and print a ticket for admission. Browns 2015 season ticket members will have an exclusive window to register for open practices from July 14-16 prior to public availability, which opens at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 17. For the second time in as many years, the Browns have implemented a training camp registration process to help maximize each fan's experience at all open sessions, as well as to best accommodate guests who must make travel arrangements to attend training camp.

Browns fans may sign up to attend practice sessions by visiting www.ClevelandBrowns.com or the Browns Mobile App, which will also provide daily updates, including weather and additional information for each practice. Registration for the Cleveland Browns 2015 Orange & Brown Scrimmage is closed as all tickets have been distributed.

Fans will have the opportunity to register for up to three practices in Berea, along with a maximum of five guests, as space permits. Parties wishing to attend more than three practices or book for groups of seven-or-more people are encouraged to contact the Browns ticket office directly (440-891-5050).

Not including Family Day, the Browns' 13 open training camp practices in 2014 set the third-highest combined attendance since 2005 with a total of 43,740 fans who represented 40 states, plus Washington, D.C. Attendance for 12 of those sessions eclipsed 3,000, while only 11 practices surpassed that mark from 2005-2013.

When the Browns host their intrasquad scrimmage on Ohio State University's campus, it will mark the second time in as many years that the team's highest-attended training camp event has extended outside of Cleveland, allowing fans from across the state to experience live Browns competition. Browns fans cleared the registration capacity of 60,000 free tickets on Monday, June 22, when they first became available following an exclusive season ticket member pre-registration from June 16-19.

Last year's Family Day attracted 20,673 fans to InfoCision Stadium in Akron, marking back-to-back years the event's attendance surpassed 20,000.

When arriving with their ticket to open training camp practices, fans can enter the Browns training facility through the Beech Street entrance, with gates opening one hour before each session starts. Guest- and membership-services stations will also be available to all visitors inside and outside the complex to assist fans.

Parking is available on the campus of Baldwin-Wallace University, near the intersection of Beech Street and Bagley Road.

On Saturday, Aug. 1, the Browns will be supporting the Northeast Ohio community through First and Ten by hosting the Annual Cleveland Browns Blood Drive, hosted at more than 10 sites across northern Ohio to benefit the American Red Cross. Browns alumni will be on site at select locations, where fans who donate will receive a commemorative Browns First and Ten T-shirt (while supplies last) and also have the chance to win Browns memorabilia and preseason tickets. The Cleveland Browns First and Ten campaign was established in 2014 to inspire fans to volunteer in and help their communities throughout the world by giving back for at least 10 hours each year.

For the eighth consecutive year, the Cleveland Browns Foundation and Shoes and Clothes for Kids have partnered for the Back to School Campaign to raise awareness of kids' needs for new shoes and clothes in the Greater Cleveland area, with the goal of increasing donations to provide children shoes, clothing and learning supplies as they return to school. Of the 44 percent of children living in poverty in the Greater Cleveland area, many are unable to afford the items necessary to begin the school year, while others are also unable to attend school at all due to financial restrictions. Volunteers will be at camp entrances July 30-31 to collect new school supplies and monetary donations to support the initiative. The Cleveland Browns Foundation is dedicated to a solution-based, holistic approach to ensure Northeast Ohio youth receive the development and education they need as a foundation for independence and success.

On Saturday, Aug. 22, the team will host the Cleveland Browns Moms Clinic, an interactive and educational forum designed to educate mothers about how the game is being played safer and better than ever before. Participants will learn about CDC-approved concussion recognition and response protocols; proper equipment fitting; Heads Up tackling; Heads Up blocking; heat emergency preparedness and hydration; and sudden cardiac arrest, as well as hear directly from medical experts. The program also allows participants an opportunity to interact with other moms from around the sport. The event is one of a series of Football Safety Clinics for moms around the NFL, working directly with the Cleveland Browns and USA Football to improve the game of football. -Cameras are permitted but must not interfere with another fan's enjoyment of practice. The images reproduced may not be used commercially. Commercial video equipment is prohibited.
-Umbrellas, strollers, purses, fanny packs, backpacks, and diaper bags are permitted but are subject to inspection.
-Portable folding chairs and lawn chairs are permitted but are subject to inspection.
