Bay Village and Padua Franciscan will meet at North Royalton Stadium for the second round of the Ohio High School Football Playoffs.
Bay Village, led by head coach Ron Rutt, are coming off the school's first ever undefeated regular season. They advanced last week in the playoffs after defeating Mansfield Senior 28-18. All of the points from last week's victory came from senior running back Trey Psota. Psota, a past HSGOTW MVP, rushed for four touchdowns to give the Bay Village Rockets the boost to the next round.
Padua Franciscan, led by head coach Mike Polevacik, finished the season with an 8-2 record. Last week they met University and had a game that came down to the wire, but were able to come out victorius 48-41. Padua was able to run out the clock late in the fourth thanks to running back Trent Cramer. In addition to finishing the game off, Cramer also rushed for 263 yards and one score.
Both teams enter tomorrow night with dominate running games. Expect the coaches to lean on their running backs to hopefully secure their trips to the next round.
