Founded in January 2019 by Raul Carrillo, Cilantro Taqueria quickly became a beloved name in Northeast Ohio's culinary scene. Raul's journey began in Salinas, California, before relocating to Cleveland in 2015 with his cousin Omar's encouragement. After years of honing his craft in local Mexican restaurants, Raul partnered with Reynaldo Galindo to open the first Cilantro Taqueria in Cleveland Heights' Coventry neighborhood.

What started as a small taqueria with fresh food and vibrant salsas quickly gained a following, especially among CWRU students and locals. Within a year, Raul expanded, opening a second location in Shaker Heights, followed by establishments in Lakewood, North Olmsted, Chesterland, and now Tremont.

Cilantro Taqueria stands as a testament to hard work, community partnership, and the vibrant flavors of Mexico brought to life in Cleveland.
